When FUNG WONG returns home, she finds her good friend MUI CHING CHING has come to visit her. However she is dallied by TAK, her frined MAY NA's boyfriend. She stops them just in time. CHING CHING's mother died when she was still a child as she had to do heavy job. Her father adopted a step-mother for her. But her step-mother often tortured her and even forced her to accept an organized marriage 50 as to bring them fortune. CHING CHING could no longer bear it and ~an to the U.S.A. with FUNG WONG's financial support. She wanted to start a new life. However it is not so ideal, she has to work hard to support her living, this makes her ill and finally she has to come to Hong Kong and wants to work after FUNG WONG, hoping to earn enough school fee within the shortest period of time. She aims at futhering her studies and bringing LUNG WAI, her brother, to the U.S.A. CHING CHING has no money, so she goes to FUNG WONG. FUNG WONG finds it ……

CHING CHING‧ visits her father MUI KW AN and YUK HING, her step-mother. She thinks that CHING CHING is well-off and makes unreasonable requests. This embarrassed CHING CHING much. MUI KWAN misses CHING CHING much after she has left. However he does not know how to express himself and a wide gap is found between them. FUNG WONG invites her frineds to play mah-jong till mid?night. CHEUNG YI is disturbed and argues with them. This worsens the situation between them. For CHING CHING's sake, FUNGWONG does not want CHING CHING to work after her. She persuades CHING CHING to find another job. CHING CHING works in a laundry. But she is so busy that she mixes KA LOK's clothes with that of another customer. Fortunately KA LOK discovers it and solves her problem. This deeply impresses CHING CHING. CHING CHING finds that LUNG WAI has made friends with some black sheep and was forced to join the triad society and stop his studies……

CHING CHING determines to have foreigners as her customers, thus she tries to improve her foreign language and meets KA LOK again. KA LOK does not know she has changed her job. He regards her as an aggressive girl and is attracted by her. CHING CHING decides not to have sex with any customer. FUNG WONG knows her intention and shows her how to deal with the customers' entanglement. It is discovered by WAI LUNG and he thinks that FUNG WONG is convincing her to be a prostitute. But when he finds that fact, he is deeply touched. When CHING CHING and KA LOK are attending Japanese lessons, she finds that the tutor is one of her customers. ‧She is afraid that her job will be discovered, feeling embarrassed. KA LOK finds it strange. CHING CHING and FUNG WONG are dallied by some gangsters. They are saved by a Taiwanese. However later the Taiwanese wants them to have sex with him. With their Wisdom, they manage to escape……

KA SHU is handsome and rich. This provides with him favourable qualities to attract girls without any difficulties. Moreover he is used to dealing with different people. He never loses and outweighs his father in this aspect. KA SHU meets CHING CHING and is impressed by her beauty. But CHING CHING withholds her principle and shows no interest in him. KA SHU makes a bet with his friends and swears to win over her heart. WAI LUNG is unemployed and works as a hawker in the street and also as a sentry for other hawkers. One day, he is chased after by the police. Luckily, KA LOK and CHING CHING helps him to escape when they are passing. CHING CHING no longer conceals her work before KA LOK. KA LOK is shocked but he tries with great efforts to persuade her to leave her job. For her living, CHING CHING has no alternative. CHEUNG YI is annoyed with FUNG WONG who plays mah-jong round the clock……

CHEUNG YI does not believe that CHING CHING can withhold her principle. He brings KA LOK to her working-place so as to reveal the truth. This is discovered by FUNG WONG who then tricks them, making them have not enough money to pay. They have to sign a debt and run away in a panic. KA SHU spends a lot of money so as to approach CHING CHING in order to win over her heart. But she is clever and turns away just in time. This makes KA SHU angry. FUNG WONG takes a further step and wants to go to 'Koon Yuet Lau' to announce CHEUNG VI's debt. This puts CHEUNG YI in an embarrassing situation and spoils his fame. CHING CHING regards FUNG WONG's act as too Much. She requests FUNG WONG to abandon it. Later FUNG WONG finds that it is her friend who make the complaint as she did not want to continue the game after she had won a lot. FUNG WONG feels guilty as she has mistaken CHEUNG YI……

KWAN LAI meets FUNG WONG when she is going to buy cakes for HEUNG KAM. On seeing that KWAN LAI is so poor, FUNG WONG suspects that her boss tortures and ill-treats her. She persuades her to be her part-time maid. CHEUNG YI happens to see this, thinking that she is trying to convince her to be a prostitute. He scolds her hard, embarrassing and hurting her. The misunderstanding between CHEUNG YI and FUNG WONG become worse and worse. To make her embarrassed, CHEUNG YI even goes to the prostitute to buy her service. Being insulted, she bursts into tears. This 15 unexpected~ making CHEUNG YI feel guilty. KA LOK and CHING CHING wants to reconcile the situation between CHEUNG YI and FUNG WONG as they find that CHEUNG YI does want to overcome the curtain between him and FUNG WONG. Owing to self-prestige, he does not manage to do so. They arrange CHEUNG YI to cook shark fins for FUNG WONG……

KA LOK and CHING CHING deliberately create chances for CHEUNG YI and FUNG‧ WONG to understand each other. But for their self-prestige and their stubborness, they still always argue for tiny things. KA LOK and CHING CHING do not know what to do. With CHEUNG YI and KA LOK's great effort, 'Koo Yuet Lau' wins good fame and business. It becomes the best shark fins restaurant. However all honour goes to CHEUNG KOON, making him rich. CHEUNG YI suffers from diarrhoea. However he is afraid to have an injection for treatment. Finally he recovers after FUNG WONG has prepared some herbal medicines for him. This makes him have a new impression on her. CHEUNG KOON is interviewed by the television station. He is requested to demonstrate the cooking of shark fins. He has long no entered the kitchen, thus he asks CHEUNG YI to give instruction……

To reward FUNG WONG who takes care of her, CHING CHING invests fifty thousand dollars in SIU FUN's new saloon in FUNG WONG's name. FUNG WONG is excited. As FUNG WONG goes to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony, she finds that SIU FUN has used the money as the payment of FUNG WONG's debt. She is terribly angry. CHEUNG YI is afraid that FUNG WONG cannot bear the shock and may commit silly acts. He brings her to the New Territories, hoping she can relax. However as she is angry, she leaves him behind. Later he is suspected as an illegal immigrant and is arrested. This makes him be laughed at. Although KA SHU us arranged to work in 'Koon Yuet Lau', he is not interested in it. As he must pretend to behave properly in front of CHEUNG KOON, he makes KA LOK bear the duties and troubles. KA LOK is upset and discontent. But he does not complain. CHEUNG YI is being laughed at by his colleagues who see him with FUNG WONG……

CHEUNG YI tears FUNG WONG's panamas unintentionally and wants to compensate with a new one secretly. However it is replaced by a pair of briefs by KWAN LAI. FUNG WONG thinks that he is trying to insult her job and is very angry. After KWAN LAI has explained it, the misundertanding is solved. KWAN LAI visits FUNG WONG frequently and teaches her housework as she knows that CHEUNG YI is attracted by her but she is not a competent housewife. FUNG WONG tries her best to learn and this changes CHEUNG YI's attitude towards her. KA LOK knows that CHING CHING wants to see a comic. He wants to date her but KA SHU makes the faster step. To win over CHING CHING's heart, KA SHU steals KA LOK's lucky stars and gives them to her. She is deeply touched. KA LOK knows KA SHU's intention. However he feels inferior, therefore he conceals his love. FUNG WONG learns knitting from KWAN LAI. Her first piece of work is given to CHEUNG YI who is deeply .impressed. As CHEUNG VI wants to further develop their relationship, he finds that FUNG WONG must continue her work as she is seriously indebted. He feels sad. In addition, he is always being laughed at. This makes him angry. KA LOK knows KA SHU is not genuine to CHING CHING. He wants to tell her the truth but he is afraid that she may misunderstand him. Thus he writes an anonymous letter to her. But she thinks that it is nonsense. KA LOK and CHEUNG VI lay traps to make KA SHU disclosing himself in front of CHING CHING. But KA SHU has prepared everything and makes use of his girlfriend to declare his love of CHING CHING……

CHING CHING is triffed with by some customers. FUNG WONG strikes back for her, displeasin9 the customers. She is scolded by the manager and is forced to pay the money back by receiving more customers. To release herself, FUNG WONG lowers her requirements of customers. But she meets some misers only. She is disappointed. CHEUNG KOON goes out with a belle but is robbed. His trousers are taken off and dropped into the sea. He is saved by FUNG WONG and is attracted by her. In order to have CHING CHING, KA SHU pays the debts for her and employs her to be the PR in 'Koon Yuet Lau'. CHEUNG KOON initially does not agree. But he has to' promise reluctantly as he is threatened by KA SHU who has Witnessed his dating with a belle. HEUNG KAM receives anonymous calls telling her that CHEUNG KOON has gone to meet a belle. She goes to find him with her friends. Fortunately FUNG WONG tricks them away……

One of FUNG WONG's customers asks her to tell him her vital statistics so that he can buy a mark-six bill. He does win and this further consolidates that she can bring luck. CHEUNG KOON determines to keep her as his mistress. As FUNG WONG is indebted, she has no alternative and has to promise CHEUNG KOON, hoping to make money from him and paving way for her future. To cover it up, FUNG WONG announces that she is going to migrate overseas for half a year. CHEUNG YI believes that she is an illegal immigrant only. He misses her but he still blesses her. Accidentally, CHEUNG YI sees FUNG WONG with CHEUNG KOON. He follows them and discovers their relationship. He is shocked but he still .tries to stop them from meeting one another. As CHEUNG YI knows that CHEUNG KOON is going to meet FUNG WONG. He damages the lifts. CHEUNG KO ON climbs upstairs but he cannot afford and taints. He is sent to hospital……

CHEUNG YI finds a chance to persuade FUNG WONG to repent but FUNG WONG does not take his words. They quarrel and leave unhappily. When FUNG WONG is in a dilemma, she meets TAK who convinces her to run a saloon with him. To realize her dream, FUNG WONG humbly begs CHEUNG KOON to support her. However he is a miser and only gives a dated cheque. She cannot solve her problem. TAK persuades her to make mortgage with loan sharks. "hey can raise enough money ~o start the business. KA LOK meets KA SHU and CHING CHING in the hospital. On seeing their intimate relationship, he is upset. KWAN LAI observes this and worries about CHING CHING as KA SHU is not a reliable man. KA SHU pretends to be drunken and wants to get CHING CHING. Fortunately, KA LOK and WAI LUNG stop him in time and release CHING CHING from trouble. Hatred grows in KA SHU 's heart as they have spoiled his plan. Episode 17 HEUNG KAM receives another call again……

HEUNG KAM receives another call again. She is informed that CHEUNG KOON is keeping a mistress. She therefore goes to see the case with her friends. At the time being, CHEUNG YI goes to argue with CHEUNG KOON and asks him to return FUNG WONG. FUNG WONG gets the idea of having him as her secret love so as to trick HEUNG KAM away. CHEUNG YI is laughed at by his working partners but he must bear it or KWAN LAI will be sad. HEUNG KAM still does not trust CHEUNG KOON and pays sudden visit to the flat. It is heard by CHEUNG YI who then goes to the flat in advance. To make herself calm, HEUNG KAM arranges CHEUNG YI move into the flat. CHEUNG YI agrees unwillingly. I

CHEUNG 'YI hurts his leg and has to rest at home. Therefore he has more chances to be with FUNG WONG. There are even more conflicts. FUNG WONG questions TAK about their saloon. However he tries to avoid her. Later she discovers that TAK runs away with the money. She is very worried. CHEUNG YI is not satisfied with the filthy relationship between CHEUNG KOON and FUNG WONG. He wants to indulge himself in alcohol. When he is drunken, he declares his love, making FUNG WONG not know what to do. After careful consideration, FUNG WONG determines to break with CHEUNG KOOK but he does not agree. when they are arguing, HEUNG KAM arrives. She yells, on knowing the fact. KW AN LAI realizes that FUNG WONG has concealed her relationship with CHEUNG KOON. She feels being fooled and is very disappointed With FUNG WONG. FUNG WONG is indebted after her money has been taken away by TAK. She has no choice and wants to put an end to her life……

As CHEUNG YI has helped FUNG WONG, the gap between then disappears. FUNG WONG is shocked by CHEUNG VI's true love and determines to repent. She wants to work hard with CHEUNG YI for their future. KA SHU makes a bet with his friends that he can have CHING CHING within three months. He poisons her, making her faint. Luckily it is seen by KA LOK and they fight. KA SHU hates KA LOK and backbites him in front of CHEUNG KOON. KA LOK can no longer stand for it. He opposes and leaves home with KWAN LA!. CHING CHING understands KA SHU's intention. She knows how KA LOK feels towards her and this brings them together, strengthening their love. Heung KAN is not happy and always scolds KWAN LAI. CHEUNG YI is not content with it and criticizes her. They quarrel and HEUNG KAN slanders him having secret love with KW AN LAI. This arouses conflicts between CHEUNG YI and CHEUNG KOON……

When CHEUNG YI is in a dilemma, he is enlightened by his colleagues. He uses his recipe 0+ soup and cooks vermicelli with it. He names his shop 'Ah Yi's Vermicelli Restaurant' and is very successful and wins fame. FUNG WONG changes her life style and works in a paging station. She becomes acc6mplished. He has to sell forged shark fins but is discovered. The Consumer's Council announces it. The fame of the shop is spoiled. To pay the debts, KA SHU wants to sell 'Koon Yuet Lau'. CHEUNG KOON is shocked and has a heart attack. CHEUNG YI is reluctant to see the family business being ruined. He therefore buys CHEUNG KOON' share so as to overcome the problem……
