Under the Veil

YEE-TAN is bullied by his classmate. SUM-YEUNG tries to protect him and he is injured. SO-SZE tries to help him secretly and the bad guy is defeated. When the Crown Prince and FUNG-SAM are sailing, there is a solar eclipse. SONG LIT turns into a snake to attack them. The ship has exploded. FUNG-SAM falls into the lake and the Crown Prince is drifted away to a faraway location. KAU TSIN-SHUI and the Carp rescue FUNG-SAM. Guanyin appears to turn SZE LOI-FUNG into Princess LAT KA again. When KAU TSIN-SHUI seeks help with FUNG-SAM, he meet the poor scholar CHEUNG CHUN and he asks him to take care of FUNG-SAM. FUNG-SAM decides to return to the capital and asks the emperor to help searching for the Crown Prince. CHEUNG CHUN suggests to accompany him since he is very weak. Afterwards, he will go to Suzhou to propose marriage to the government official HUNG TAI-MAN's daughter HUNG MAU-TAN……

SONG TAK and his son are upset and they try to burst into TUEN's mansion. TUEN CHING meets up with them and he asks TSAK-SIN to look for SO-SZE secretly. SO-SZE learns that something has happened at home and she tries to go out secretly by making herself transparent. However, YEE-TAN discovers her head floating in the air. SONG LIT fails to achieve his objective but he confirms that FUNG-SAM is not the real one and he asks his people to follow SO-SZE. SO-SZE and CHEUNG CHUN discover that SONG LIT is following them. SO-SZE tries to draw SONG LIT away but CHEUNG CHUN falls down from the hill accidentally. YEE-TAN visits SUM-YEUNG for he worries that SUM-YEUNG has been mesmerized by a ghost. He brings SUM-YEUNG to the Ten Kings Temple so that they could ask CHUNG-KWAI to kick away the ghost. SUM-YEUNG says that the statue is not CHUNG-KWAI but Judge LUK. When YEE-TAN leaves, Judge LUK appears……

SO-SZE drinks with HAHAU KUEN. HAHAU KUEN finally discovers that this is not her husband. HAHAU KUEN fails to get any information at TUEN's mansion and she tries to ask her uncle SONG TAK if he knows the whereabouts of FUNG-SAM. SONG TAK deliberately tells her that FUNG-SAM has committed adultery. HAHAU KUEN returns home to commit suicide. Mrs TUEN has no choice but to reveal that FUNG-SAM is treating his injury at Miu's Place. SONG LIT learns about it as well. After learning the whereabouts of the Crown Prince, KWO-TIN, SO-SZE and FUNG-SAM try to take action separately. SO-SZE tries to get back the bamboo tube. FUNG-SAM and KWO-TIN try to rescue the Crown Prince at the huge rock. SO-SZE says goodbye to SUM-YEUNG before leaving and she discovers that SUM-YEUNG has remembered her already. She asks SUM-YEUNG to wait for her on full moon night at the pomegranate tree till she shows up……

SO-SZE is defeated by SONG LIT and she is poisoned as well. KWO-TIN and FUNG-SAM arrive to kick SONG LIT away. SO-SZE knows that she is dying but she insists to meet up with SUM-YEUNG. FUNG-SAM presents SONG TAK's criminal evidence at the palace. KING HEI sends SONG TAK to prison forever. SO-SZE dies and SUM-YEUNG moves the pomegranate tree to his home. He asks YEE-TAN to propose marriage for him. YEE-TAN is worried to discover that SUM-YEUNG is very depressed. He discovers that SUM-YEUNG keeps drawing SO-SZE's portrait for he wants SO-SZE to appear again. He therefore asks FUNG-SAM to visit SUM-YEUNG. FUNG-SAM visits SUM-YEUNG and he scolds SUM-YEUNG for blaming himself. He reveals that SO-SZE did not blame him at all. YEE-TAN's three classmates KONG YIU-CHU, NGAU PAK-YIP and MOLE urge him to meet the famous prostitute YAT PAN-HEUNG at Fa Moon Lau Club. YEE-TAN discovers that YAT PAN-HEUNG resembles his wife SHE WAN-CHU very much...

YEE-TAN applies for leave from his tutor. His tutor thinks that YEE-TAN is trying to avoid examinations with excuse and he scolds him. YEE-TAN is upset and he airs his grievances to Judge LUK at Ten Kings Temple and they drink together. He hopes that Judge LUK could help to get rid of his tutor. Before returning to Lin'an, YEE-TAN learns that Ten Kings Temple is flooded with water and he brings Judge LUK home. The thief has stolen CHEUNG CHUN's money. Luckily, YEE-TAN lends money to him and invites him to stay in the same inn. The Carp is overjoyed to see CHEUNG CHUN but the Ghost wants to kill him. CHEUNG CHUN becomes friends with YEE-TAN. YEE-YAN shows him the huge egg he is hiding inside his clothes for he wants to hatch the egg. The Carp rescues CHEUNG CHUN successfully but YEE-TAN falls into the sea accidentally and he dies unjustly. YEE-TAN complains that he has died unjustly at Yama's Court……

YIU-CHU and the others arrive at Lin'an to look for YEE-TAN. The five guys go to Tsui Hung Lau to drink and have fun. CHEUNG CHUN reminds YEE-TAN that he should avoid going to a brothel. YEE-TAN refuses to study since the huge egg is not moving at all. WAN-CHU scolds him and asks him to sleep at the study room. YEE-TAN gives some of the questions to CHEUNG CHUN so that he could copy his answers. CHEUNG CHUN is going to Suzhou. YEE-TAN sends him some old clothes with money inside. CHEUNG CHUN dreams of the Carp and the Carp reminds him that he should not take the boat. CHEUNG CHUN therefore decides to go in the another way. YEE-TAN goes to Ten Kings Temple to look for Judge LUK at midnight and it snows suddenly in June. Since it is very strange to snow in June, SONG TAK wants KING HEI to cancel his punishment. In order to eliminate rumors, FUNG-SAM suggests the emperor to offer sacrifice to the God……

YEE-TAN jumps down from the cliff to rescue the huge egg but the huge egg rescues him instead. YEE-TAN reveals to WAN-CHU that the egg is very powerful. WAN-CHU is enraged and she tries to hit the egg but she hits YEE-TAN accidentally. YEE-TAN tries to hide away at YAT PAN-HEUNG's place and YAT PAN-HEUNG helps YEE-TAN to hatch the egg in bed. People fail to carve the Dragon Wall again and many artisans have died. FUNG-SAM suspects that SONG LIT has arranged everything with tricks. WAN-CHU keeps crying after YEE-TAN's departure. Her maid CHING CHING brings her to worship He-He Fairies. YAT PAN-HEUNG's customer has died in her room. Since there is no witness, the constables capture everyone at Tsui Hung Lau for investigation. YEE-TAN learns about it and he tries to get money from home to rescue YAT PAN-HEUNG. He visits YAT PAN-HEUNG at the prison but YAT PAN-HEUNG says that she will only be released if the customer becomes alive again……

YAT PAN-HEUNG has swapped her head with WAN-CHU and she refuses to serve the customers. Her bosses are very surprised and puzzled. On the other hand, WAN-CHU wears sexy dresses when going everywhere and YEE-TAN finds it inappropriate. YEE-TAN also discovers that WAN-CHU is no longer preparing the ink and tea for him and he feels that something is missing. WAN-CHU knows that YEE-TAN is angry and she tries to amend her faults. She helps to prepare the ink for YEE-TAN and she burns some sensual incense instead of sandalwood in the room. Being persuaded by her bosses, YAT PAN-HEUNG decides to entertain the customers by performing instead of sleeping with them. She also urges the customers to apologize to their wives successfully. YAT PAN-HEUNG doesn't want CHOR CHOR to become other's mistress because of her debts and she decides to improve the business with magic. WAN-CHU goes gambling and she owes a lot of money……

YEE-TAN asks people to get rid of the dead snakes in the garden. The retainers report that somebody is messing around at the Silk and Satin Shop and YEE-TAN knows that WAN-CHU has created the problem. WAN-CHU has been gambling at the casino. YEE-TAN airs his grievances to Judge LUK. Judge LUK replies that if he truly loves a woman, he should love every parts of her. YEE-TAN doesn't understand his words fully. Since there are snakes everywhere, YAT PAN-HEUNG organizes a fund-raising performance to help the needy people. YEE-TAN goes to chat with YAT PAN-HEUNG at Tsui Hung Lau. YAT PAN-HEUNG feels sorry for him and she brings him to watch the turtle eggs. A turtle egg suddenly breaks and the little turtle comes out. The two of them are very excited. After discovering that YAT PAN-HEUNG is such a kind lady, YEE-TAN reveals to Judge LUK that he is ashamed of his decision and he wants to have his wife back……

WAN-CHU visits YIU-CHU to eat peaches together. YIU-CHU tries to get close to her but WAN-CHU asks him to take a bath first. When YIU-CHU has left, YEE-TAN arrives to cut WAN-CHU's head. YIU-CHU discovers that YEE-TAN is leaving the room and he wonders why WAN-CHU is not following him. He returns to his room and he is frightened to discover that WAN-CHU's head is missing. YEE-TAN brings WAN-CHU's head to Judge LUK at the temple. Judge LUK put WAN-CHU's head onto YAT PAN-HEUNG's body immediately and he asks YEE-TAN to put YAT PAN-HEUNG's head onto WAN-CHU's body. YEE-TAN returns to YIU-CHU's room with the head but YIU-CHU has reported the case to the constables already. WAN-CHU's parents have arrived at YIU-CHU's home as well to check out her dead body. During the hearing of the case, YEE-TAN is speechless. The magistrate gives YEE-TAN a death sentence without investigating the case carefully……

YAT PAN-HEUNG believes that DRY THUNDER is a bandit. She tries to beat him and run away. However, she collapses on the way. When she wakes up, she discovers herself in the cottage again. She realizes that she has wronged DRY THUNDER and she apologizes to him. After taking a rest for one night, YAT PAN-HEUNG feels better. When DRY THUNDER returns from hunting, YAT PAN-HEUNG has prepared tea and fruits for him. Since YAT PAN-HEUNG is injured, DRY THUNDER has caught a fish for her. He takes good care of her and she is deeply touched. DRY THUNDER chats with YAT PAN-HEUNG happily when they drink and eat fish together. In the morning, YAT PAN-HEUNG has prepared breakfast for DRY THUNDER. During the time, some bandits suddenly arrive to attack DRY THUNDER and DRY THUNDER fights with them. YAT PAN-HEUNG helps DRY THUNDER to kick them away and she decides to accompany him to travel around...

KING HEI is very weak and everybody worries that he will not be able to pass the heaven worship ceremony. KWO-TIN gives him some pills but this can only help to sustain his life till the ceremony since somebody is casting an evil spell on KING HEI. YEE-TAN feels that the huge egg is vibrating and he discovers that it is able to make a dead person alive. YEE-TAN suggests to send the huge egg to the emperor so that the emperor will recover soon. FUNG-SAM learns that YEE-TAN is going to send the emperor a gift and he decides to postpone the date of the ceremony. YEE-TAN offers the huge egg to the emperor and he explains how he has found it. On the other hand, KWO-TIN has discovered the altar of the caster and he kills the caster. However, he hears SONG LIT's voice from far away and SONG LIT says that he is going to attack the emperor soon. KWO-TIN rushes back immediately……

The shop is hiring new staff and the Carp applies for the job. Mrs NGOK finds her a nice lady and she hires her. MAU-TAN and her aunt Mrs FONG arrive to shop and the Carp discovers that MAU-TAN looks like her very much. CHEUNG CHUN eventually arrives at Suzhou. MAU-TAN distributes charity bags on the street and she passes one to CHEUNG CHUN. CHEUNG CHUN finds MAU-TAN familiar for she looks like the Carp in his dream and he develops good impression on her. KAU TSIN-SHUI drinks near the pond in the evening and CHEUNG CHUN passes by. CHEUNG CHUN discovers a golden carp in the pond and he remembers the Carp in his dream. He is grateful for the Carp has rescued him before and his fiancee looks like the Carp very much. KAU TSIN-SHUI asks CHEUNG CHUN to sleep earlier. When CHEUNG CHUN has left, the Carp jump out from the pond and she is heartbroken to learn that CHEUNG CHUN will propose marriage to MAU-TAN soon...

The Carp knows that CHEUNG CHUN will propose marriage soon and she is very down. CHEUNG CHUN arrives at Grand Scribe Mansion and he discovers that another scholar with the same name has arrived as well. Grand Scribe HUNG asks them to provide the engagement keepsake but CHEUNG CHUN fails to provide it. CHEUNG CHUN reveals it to KAU TSIN-SHUI and KAU TSIN-SHUI suggests to seek help from FUNG-SAM. The Carp knows that she is not able to stay with CHEUNG CHUN and she allows TAI KAM to look for SZE LOI-FUNG. Mrs NGOK is very angry and she reveals her reason for buying TAI KAM. Many people gather at the street to witness the arrival of the government officials. During the chaos, CHEUNG CHUN is knocked down by the others. The guards try to beat CHEUNG CHUN but FUNG-SAM stops it. Grand Scribe HUNG organizes a welcome banquet for FUNG-SAM, YEE-TAN and Magistrate FONG……

CHEUNG CHUN moves to Grand Scribe Mansion. When he is studying hard, he suddenly vomits blood and others suspect that he is suffering from hemoptysis. Trying not infect others, CHEUNG CHUN moves to the haunted waterfront cottage. MAU-TAN scolds CHEUNG CHUN privately for being ignorant of the present state of affairs and KAU TSIN-SHUI overhears it accidentally. During a party at Grand Scribe Mansion, many rich men in town arrive to meet MAU-TAN. In order to catch MAU-TAN's attention, SHING-MAN gives her the book "Erotic Stories". MAU-TAN reveals to her father that she wants to marry an outstanding man like FUNG-SAM so that their family will become more powerful. Unfortunately, her father has agreed to marry her to CHEUNG CHUN according to his promise. CHEUNG CHUN falls asleep while studying and a ghost suddenly wakes him up. The Carp disguises herself as MAU-TAN to help CHEUNG CHUN. CHEUNG CHUN eventually learns that he is poisoned……

CHEUNG CHUN is heartbroken and he believes that the ghost wants to harm him. The ghost's name is WAN CHAK-YEUNG and he shares his story with CHEUNG CHUN. CHEUNG CHUN is willing to report CHAK-YEUNG's case to the court but the Magistrate beats him fiercely in return and kicks him away. CHEUNG CHUN is injured but he decides to write a complaint letter to BAO CHING with white vinegar so that he could help CHAK-YEUNG. CHEUNG CHUN visits BAO CHING but BAO CHING comments that it is hard to give a conclusion by the statements of CHAK-YEUNG only. CHEUNG CHUN proposes a method to BAO CHING. After the incident, CHEUNG CHUN decides to leave Suzhou and he says goodbye to the Grand Scribe. MAU-TAN knows that somebody is pretending to be her and she pretends to apologize to CHEUNG CHUN. Grand Scribe HUNG believe that they have reconciled with each other and he decides to organize a wedding ceremony for them……

Two MAU-TAN appear at the Grand Scribe Mansion and nobody can distinguish between them. The Grand Scribe doesn't know what to do. CHEUNG CHUN tries to help but KAU TSIN-SHUI stops him. The nursing mother arrives on the next day but she fails to distinguish between the two ladies as well. The Carp seizes the chance to make MAU-TAN admits that she has kicked away her nursing mother deliberately long time ago. Grand Scribe HUNG believes that only BAO CHING will be able to distinguish between the two ladies. KAU TSIN-SHUI returns to the sea to invite the turtles and crabs to collaborate with him by pretending to be CHEUNG LUNG, CHIU FU, WONG CHIU and MA HON. He will pretend to be BAO CHING. BAO CHING arrives at the Grand Scribe Mansion and he finds it hard to distinguish between the two ladies as well. During the time, KAU TSIN-SHUI and his helpers arrive by pretending to be BAO CHING and his guards……

There is a sandstorm in the desert. The Crown Prince gets lost and he fails to find his subordinates. KING HEI asks FUNG-SAM to rescue the Crown Prince but FUNG-SAM is captured by WANYAN MIN's younger brother WANYAU SIU. The Crown Prince carries the statue of LAT KA while walking in the hot desert. He is suddenly surrounded by some bubbles. On the other hand, CHEUNG CHUN tries to carry out the request of Guanyin by bringing the Carp across the desert to find the oasis. However, the trip is too harsh and he falls down exhaustedly. FUNG-SAM, DRY THUNDER and YAT PAN-HEUNG find the oasis but SONG LIT plays trick to cover up the oasis. DRY THUNDER knows that the only alternative is to find the oasis at Exotic Heavenly Cave. FUNG-SAM finds the Crown Prince eventually. CHEUNG CHUN and WANYAN SIU arrive as well. When everybody think that they are going to survive, SONG LIT suddenly arrive to attack them. FUNG-SAM and the others try to run away……
