We're in 1940, Francisco e Roberto, communists, try to escape Nazi Officers in the French Alps. They are caught by the Germans. Roberto is killed immediately. Francisco, in a desperate act of survival, claims to have relevant information for Himmler: he knows how to travel in time!

Salvador is in shock. He receives a visit from an American lawyer, named Stein. Not only did he manage to discover the existence, and address, of the Ministry of Time, he threatens to take the organisation to court. The motive: Stein represents the rabi Levy, who in 1492 revealed the doors of time to D. João II. Since, years later, the rabi was burned at the stake by the Inquisition, Stein demands a restitution of 100 million euro in five days... or he will tell the whole world everything he knows about the greatest secret of the Portuguese state.

The case is serious. Someone stole the original manuscript of the book "A Mensagem", by Fernando Pessoa. Aware of the importance of the work for Portuguese literature, Salvador decides to send his best patrol to 1934.

Viseu, 2016. In an archaeological excavation, dated from the XV century, two archaeologists find the most unbelievable object: a modern mobile phone, lost over five hundred years ago! The Ministry of Time is immediately alerted.

Irene recalls the moment of her recruitment to the Ministry of Time in 1965. It was Armando Névoa who recruited her, saving her from an unhappy life, to which Irene was willing to put an end. After getting involved with a woman, Tiago travels to 2013. He wants to spend the day with her wife, the woman he truly loves. However, the cemetery where Névoa is buried is invaded. His body is exhumed. Who did that? What is the reason? What are the consequences? The answers seem to be in 1862 to where the patrol is sent.

Tiago dreams recurringly with the death of Mariana, on December 23, 2013. At his side always appears a mysterious character, which Tiago recognizes from somehwere but can not identify. In the Ministry of Time another anachronism is discovered. In the poster of the famous film "O Pai Tirano" by António Lopes Ribeiro, a tablet of 2016 appears. Salvador sends the patrol to the studios of Tóbis during the shooting of the film (1940), to discover how the tablet appeared in the poster. And to eliminate this anachronism. It is also in this year that various information about their lives is apprehended by Tiago and Amélia: Tiago discovers who is the mysterious figure in his dreams and Amélia knows a relative of his future. Mafalda is once again on the path of patrol, and this time she is willing to reveal many secrets about the Ministério do Tempo. Tiago can not stop thinking about Mariana's death. He travels to 2013 determined to change the past. Amélia goes after him. Not to stop him, but to help him. The two arrive on December 23, 2013 only minutes from the fatal accident. They run to save Mariana. That's all Tiago wants. But not only he doesn't achieve it, but he will discover the most terrible of truths. And in the worst way.

1128, São Mamede. Gonçalo Mendes da Maia, the famous Lidador, one of the most important nobles of D. Afonso Henriques, fights bravely against Castilian enemies, without realizing that it is filmed at a distance by two men of the future. Only at the end of the battle, when it seems that only the Lidador has survived, when the silence falls on the field, the sound of the super8 film camera is heard. The medieval nobleman founds strange men watching him. As he prepares to interrogate them, a Castilian comes out of nowhere and kills him. One of the great Portuguese heroes died prematurely. Lisbon. 2016. It's been months since the last mission. Tiago returns to work, but he is still very shaken after what he discovered there. Afonso, Amélia, and the other members of the Ministério do Tempo try to help him get back to work, but everything seems to be fruitless. Irene also returns to active. Unlike Tiago, she's not well received. She's seen by members of the Ministério as a traitor. Only Salvador insists that she returns to work. Salvador summons Afonso and Amélia. He has a new mission for them. The Ministério discovered the tomb of the Lidador, during archaeological excavations ... But DNA analysis proves that the bones deposited there are not of the medieval knight. The patrol must leave immediately for 1139, on the eve of the Battle of Ourique, and discover what has happened. Amélia and Afonso want to know why Tiago wasn't summoned to the mission. Salvador just says he has a substitute for Tiago: Afonso de Albuquerque. Amélia, Afonso and Albuquerque arrive at 1139 and are quickly captured by the man who is supposed to be the Lidador. They will have to convince him that they are patriots and fight for Portugal in order to regain their freedom to find the evidence necessary to confirm that he is an impostor and find out what is the motivation behind this situation (which will go far beyond what the patrol can imagine). In 2016, Tiago makes a decision that could change the patrol forever.

Lisbon, 1981. Judicial police officer Júlio Mendes, known by the nickname Pacino, receives a request for help from the car radio. Upon arriving at the crime scene, he sees the criminal disappear into a closet. Following him, the officer finds himself in a strange world that he discovers to be the year 2016. Because Pacino is armed he is taken by robbery and arrested by the police. In the Ministério do Tempo no one can find out where Tiago is. Amélia is the one who misses him the most. Salvador is alerted to the capture of a wanted killer since 1981. The reason this matter is brought to the Ministério is simple. The suspect did not age one single day, despite 35 years have passed. It's the same man Pacino followed. Salvador gives orders for Pacino to be transferred to the Ministério. After being cleared of the crime, the PJ officer is ready to help capture the murderer, whom he believes was responsible for the disbelief of his father, also a police officer, in a case similar to this one, which happened in 1946... Salvador and Ernesto are sure about one thing: they're facing a serial killer with the ability to travel in time. After the case is settled, Pacino isn't satisfied. Now that he knows the secret of time travel, he wants to change the past. He wants to avoid his father's suicide. For that he'll have an unexpected help and doesn't care if he has to put the lives of all members of the Ministério do Tempo in jeopardy. Neither if he changes the story in an unpredictable and dangerous way.

Lisbon, 1887. The ink from the last page of "Os Maias" has not dried yet, and Eça de Queiroz already receives an offer that can't be refuted. Some English publishers want to buy he's manuscript. And for such a sum that Eça de Queiroz will finally be able to fulfill his most secret dream: to become a playwright and theater director. Without knowing that the man in front of him is Wallcott, an agent of the mysterious Companhia, Eça de Queiroz accepts the business and changes his literary career for the performing arts. In 2016, the Ministério do Tempo is quickly alerted. Salvador can not allow "Os Maias" not to be published, and that all Queiroz' s later works are not written. Pacino still can not go on this mission. He still has to undergo the agent training. That's why Salvador orders Luís Vaz de Camões to join Amélia and Afonso in this mission. The three depart for 1887. Amélia's plan goes through two stages: 1) infiltrating the theater company that Eça de Queiroz is assembling and sabotaging the play and 2) discovering who bought the manuscript of "Os Maias." Meanwhile, while trying to salvage one of the most important books in Portuguese literature, the patrol will come up against a new method that will forever change time travel. In 2016, Salvador makes a phone call to Tiago. He just wants to know what he's fine. Tiago says he's OK, but he still doesn't feel able to return to the Ministério.

Elvas, Christmas of 1807. Sister Maria de Santa Teresinha, superior of a congregation forced by the French to assist their troops during the invasions, receives the news that Napoleão Bonaparte is going to visit the Forte da Graça. The nun can not stand the shock and falls struck by a heart attack. Lisbon, 2016. Salvador summons the patrol. Amélia, Pacino, and Afonso are informed of the serious events unfolding in Elvas in 1807. Contrary to what historians say, the Ministério do Tempo has always known of a short and secret visit by Napoleão to Elvas, with the aim of supervising the Advances of General Soldano. This visit, forgotten by history, is of fundamental importance for the Portugal we know today. It was during the Christmas eve of 1807 that the sister Maria de Santa Teresinha convinced Napoleão to pardon three Portuguese prisoners, condemned by espionage and condemned to the death. One of them, Rodolfo Maia, is the direct ancestor of Captain Salgueiro Maia, one of the heroes of April 25. Before leaving, the patrol needs someone who can replace Sister Maria de Santa Teresinha. The choice fell on ... Maria dos Prazeres, who will go on her first mission. Afonso is dismissed, since he's entitled to a few days off in order to adapt to live in the 21st century. However, he's quickly sent to 1807 when the rescue of Rodolfo Maia seems impossible and the life of Maria dos Prazeres is at risk. But Maria dos Prazeres has not given up yet. And she will use all her weapons to persuade Napoleão to release the prisoners. By 2016 other plans are in full swing. Irene and Susana Meireles feel their time has come. But for that, they have to get rid of Salvador.

Lisbon, 1918. Irene is on a very simple mission. Prevent Beatriz Costa as a child from losing her voice. The mission is a success but a dangerous epidemic is plaguing Portugal this year. There are thousands infected and other thousands dead. And Irene realizes, even before returning to 2016, that she is infected. It is most likely to die without being able to return to the present. In 2016, Susana doesn't settle for the news that her girlfriend is in 1918, during the deadliest epidemic of the 20th century. Contrary to the advice of everyone around her, she commands Irene to be brought into the 21st century. Even if in doing so she runs the risk of infecting the modern world with a dangerous virus for which no cure has ever been found. Irene is brought into the present. The doctors of the Ministério do Tempo confirm the disease quickly. This is the Spanish flu. The same that at the end of the second decade of the twentieth century was responsible for more deaths than the First World War. Despite the efforts of Susana and the medical team, Irene does not improve ... And the infection spreads through the Ministério. A quarantine is decreed. And the number of patients starts to increase exponentially. In the meantime, Pacino learns that the doctor is enjoying the coming of the virus for the twentieth century in a terrible way. As in the past, the Spanish flu will cause victims in the 21st century. Afonso, Irene, Pessoa and other Ministry officials who are ill know that the mortality rate is great ... And that even today, there is no known cure.

Amélia, in her desperation to find Tiago again, resorts to séances. But all she can know is that a mysterious magician will cross your life. Salvador summons the patrol to another mission. There are strong suspicions that a Ministry agent, working in the year 1924, is about to offer his services to the FBI. This agent, Joaquim de Sena, is known for a peculiarity difficult to believe. It has X-ray vision. Can see through objects. Amélia and Afonso have to investigate the case and, if the suspicions are true, prevent the betrayal. Pacino is prevented from going on the mission, because Agent Joaquim knows him, since he trained him when he entered the Ministério do Tempo. Once again, Amélia and Afonso receive the reinforcement of Camões. In 1924, they will attend a séance organized by Joaquim's father, Adolfo. There, they encounter a charlatan. Camões, using all his theatrical side, manages to put the false seer in check and thus gain the trust of Joaquim and Adolfo. In conversation, Joaquim reveals that he's leaving for New York. He will meet the great Houdini, who has heard of Joaquim's paranormal power and wants to meet him. Sensing an opportunity, Amélia says they are also leaving for the big metropolis. So they can travel together. The patrol returns to 2016, to prepare the trip to the United States. When they are returning to the Time doors, Amélia suffers a small accident that prevents her from going on the mission. Upon arriving in New York, Camões settles himself in the same hotel room as Joaquim. The goal is to watch him closely. Afonso is in charge of security and logistics. Afonso and Camões are so focused on Joaquim that they don't notice that Mafalda Torres is in New York, this time accompanied by the most dangerous members of the Campanhia: Ferguson and Bennet. The Company's objective is simple. Prevent, at all costs, the FBI from knowing of the possibility of time travel. Camões and Afonso know that they have to prevent Joaquim from betraying the Ministério. They plan to kidnap him but the Companhia has other plans. They plan murder Joaquim, Camões and Afonso, thus keeping the time travels a secret. Without knowing it, Afonso and Camões have their lives in the hands of what they think is their greatest enemy: Mafalda Torres.

Timor. September 6, 1975. Indonesian troops launch their first attacks on the territory of Timor. Everywhere skirmishes are repeated between the invaders and the Fretilin guerrillas. The dead and wounded crowd. A white nurse is injured and almost dies while trying to save a guerrilla. It's Tiago. In 2016, the Ministério do Tempo is preparing for one of its most difficult missions ever: an external audit. In 1975, Tiago is in a field hospital. He's hurt. Around him, companions and friends are dying. Back in 2016, Afonso is on his way home when he comes across a demonstration. When he looks at the leader of the protests, he has the shock of he's life: the woman who engages the megaphone is look-a-like to his wife, Elena, whom he was forced to abandon in the 16th century. In Timor, Tiago begins to recover from injuries. He can already perform his duties as a nurse. But the situation his group of guerrillas lives is increasingly desperate. Filled with regrets, Tiago tries to call Amélia ... who does not answer because she is having dinner with Pacino. The next day, Amélia sees the missed call. When she calls back, she receives a strange warning: "The number you called is out of national territory." Intrigued, Amélia tells what is happening to Irene. Salvador summons Afonso and reveals to him that Irene has been able to locate Tiago. He's in Timor, in full Indonesian invasion. Afonso receives the mission to go save his friend. Amélia feels vulnerable and abandoned. She ends up leaning on Pacino. The latter, being very attracted to the young woman, doesn't resist to kiss her. Amélia corresponds. In 1975, Afonso manages to persuade Tiago to return ... That is, if they can get out of Timor alive.

Salvador is furious. The greatest secret of humanity has just been revealed. A secret that only a few chosen at the Ministério do Tempo knew: the cause of the Mona Lisa's smile, Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting. And to make things worse, it's weekend. Most of the Ministry of Time employees are off duty. Including Amélia, Tiago and Afonso. With no other alternative, Salvador sends Irene and Nuno Gonçalves to investigate what is happening in the Paço da Ribeira, on October 30, 1755, two days before the earthquake that destroyed Lisbon. Nuno Gonçalves is enthusiastic about the mission. After all, much of his work is in the Paço da Ribeira. Nuno Gonçalves sees in this mission a chance to save it. Salvador and Irene strictly prohibit him from saving a picture that is. When they arrived in 1755, Nuno Gonçalves and Irene presented themselves to Queen D. Mariana as a newly arrived couple from Brazil, with an interest in acquiring a nobiliary title. As Paço da Ribeira will be destroyed within two days, no one will ever know of the robbery. Irene asks reinforcements to Salvador. This one tries to summon Amélia, Afonso and Tiago. But the patrol is unavailable. With no alternative, Salvador summons Camões. He could not be happier to go on yet another mission. Camões arrived in 1755. That night, he and Irene, already armed with gas masks, patrol the corridors of the Paço da Ribeira. They discover that the assailants are agents of the Companhia. And heading them are, neither more nor less, than Mafalda Torres and Bennet. Camões manages to capture Bennet but this one does not surrender with life. Mafalda Torres manages to escape ... only to appear in Salvador's office. With a proposal the Secretary General of the Ministério never expected to hear.

1317. King D. Dinis and Lopo, one of his nobles, ride horses while discussing the virtues of planting a large pine forest in Leiria. They are approaching Sabugal, where the Holy Queen walks in the streets. Plunged with the misery she attends, the queen distributed bread and gold to the poor, even though she knew that D. Dinis was opposed to this practice. D. Dinis and Lopo find Queen Santa Isabel still in the street. D. Dinis, suspicious, asks the famous question: What do you wear on your lap, lady? And the Holy Queen replies: Nothing! Somehow, the Miracle of Roses did not happen! 1894. Amelia is informed by Olinda of Henriqueta's visit. She, in tears, confesses to Amelia that she discovered the existence of the Ministry. In desperation, she visited the Holy Queen and asked her for offerings. The Queen gave her all the bread and gold she had with her. Because of her fault, the Queen's lap was empty and there was no miracle of the Roses. In distress, Amelia takes Henriqueta to the Ministry in 2016. Salvador orders the patrol to resolve the matter. He summons Camões to... order him to buy a dozen roses. As soon as possible! The patrol goes to Sabugal. They know that, in addition to the normal difficulties of a mission, they have to be careful of the black plague, which in 1317 assaulted the kingdom. Meanwhile, Irene collects signatures at the Ministry. We are on the eve of the final of the 2016 European Football Championship. And the plan that Irene is putting in place seems to have something to do with the match between France and Portugal. Desperate, Camões can't find roses anywhere. With no other alternative, he realizes he has to travel far and fast. Camões marches confidently, ignoring the disadvantages of some ways of transportation of the 21st century. At Sabugal time is urgent. D. Dinis is about to leave for Leiria. Afonso does everything, even something unusual in himself, to convince the monarch to stay a few more days... Irene engages Maria dos Prazeres in the mysterious conspiracy. Now it is only necessary to persuade Salvador to fulfill the request, which has already been signed by all officials of the Ministry of Time. Camões gets the roses and delivers them to the patrol. Amélia and Tiago, at the last moment, arrange a way for the Miracle of Roses to take place, preserving the history... while Salvador, knowing about the "conspiracy", finally yields, knowing in his heart that he will correct a terrible irony of history.

In 2016 Salvador is quietly reading the newspaper when he is questioned by Fidelino, a conspiracy theorist, who warns that he has posted a video on the internet denouncing the existence of the Ministry of Time. Salvador informs the patrol that the video far surpassed half a million views. In an attempt to avoid more drastic measures, Salvador decides to try to eliminate the suspicions of Fidelino. For this they will invite him to visit the Ministry. The bustle settles in the Ministry. Everyone tries to give it a gray tone, making it look as close to other Ministries as possible. The clothes become old-fashioned, the rooms are filled with computers, people can not laugh. Access to the platform for the Doors of Time is closed. Fidelino appears in the company of his daughter, Sónia. Salvador takes him on a guided tour. Sónia records everything that goes on. Fidelino begins to believe that he is in a perfectly banal Ministry ... Until, as fate would have it, Fidelino discovers the proof of the existence of the Ministry. Pointing a weapon at Salvador, he forces him to show him the way to the Doors of Time. Salvador is forced to obey. In the corridor of the Doors, Fidelino attacks Salvador and enters through a door... that leads him to Silves in the year 1497. Amazed, Fidelino and Sónia quickly encounter Vasco da Gama, who is on his way to Lisbon to embark on his trip to India. The patrol, without knowing for sure which door passed Fidelino, begins its search. It is during this mission, when they are in the year of 1997, that they discover a bill of five thousand escudos... where appears the figure of Fidelino, and not that of Vasco da Gama. Somehow, the conspiracy theorist took the place of the navigator in the history of Portugal. Amélia, Tiago and Afonso leave immediately to 1497, to capture Fidelino. But when they arrive they will realize that they are in the midst of a dangerous international intrigue, which aims to prevent Vasco da Gama from embarking to India.

In 2016, Cristina and Afonso are preparing for a romantic weekend in Palmela. In 1212, Sancho, a poor shepherd, and Constança, the bride of a nobleman, swore vows of eternal love. Clemente, the noble, picks them up. And without mercy, he kills Sancho, saves Contança's life, and forced her to marry him. 2016, Afonso feels lost with Cristina. His medieval ways become increasingly difficult to hide. In desperation, he asks Amélia, Tiago, and Irene to join them. 1212. Even being forced to marry Clemente, Constança is determined not to spend her wedding night with her husband. Desperate, she runs away. In 2016, Tiago, Amélia and Irene arrive at the hotel where Afonso and Cristina are staying. Cristina is happy to meet Afonso's friends. And this one is relieved to have allies there. In 1212, Constança flees to the dungeons of the castle. When she leans against a wall, it opens, revealing a secret passage... which gives directly to 2016. Without realizing what is happening, Afonso, Cristina and Irene prepare to watch a theatre play. Tiago and Ameélia are alone. When it seems that finally their differences are set aside, and nothing will prevent them from giving the long-awaited kiss, Amélia sees Constança on top of the castle tower, preparing to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Clemente discovers the time door used by Constança. Determined to recover his bride, he crosses it. While Amélia and Tiago prevent Constança's suicide... Clemente and his men are seen as the actors on the theatre play. Hotel guests judge to be attending a performance. But Afonso and Irene are not fooled. And when Clemente threatens to take Cristina for his time, so that she becomes his wife, Afonso knows he has to intervene... Even if that action reveals to Cristina more about himself than he would like.

In 1588 the invincible armada of Filipe I of Portugal sinks to the left of England. When the king learns of the defeat, he feels desperate. Not accepting the defeat, Filipe I leaves for Lisbon, where "his" Ministry of Time is located. In 2016, Cristina finishes her relationship with Afonso ... And Amélia seems to want to talk to Tiago but can't muster the courage to do so. In 1588, Zarco, the secretary-general of the Ministry of Time at that time, refused to help Filipe I change the story. Angrily, the monarch tells him to torture. An alert will be received in 2016. In the year 1481 an ambush is prepared for Cristóvão Colombo, who at that time lives in Porto Santo. Salvador sends the patrol... That on reaching the island beaches' is more disunited than ever. It is with difficulty that Amélia gets them to focus on the mission and leave in search of Cristóvão Colombo. During the mission, Tiago and Afonso manage to save Columbus, but in the midst of the confusion Amelia disappears. Filipe I invades the Ministry of Time and the year 2016. He is determined to change history. Meanwhile, Afonso and Tiago are able to save Amélia and the three of them return home, unaware that the greatest surprise of their lives awaits them.

2016. In shock, Amélia, Tiago and Afonso face a reality completely different from what they knew. All they know are very different ... And there is no sign of Salvador. Portugal is part of Spain, Afonso and Tiago "advertise" for the army, Afonso will be a father and Mariana is alive! Tiago goes to see Mariana. Afonso goes to see his wife. Amélia is in charge of trying to understand what is happening. When he comes home, Afonso finds his wife pregnant, but also very different. Tiago finds Mariana and quickly discovers that she, in this reality, is an unhappy woman. Very different from the Mariana that Tiago knew. After some work, Amélia can discover the moment when Filipe I changed the History... And at the same time she finds that her parents were burned at the stake, due to charges of witchcraft. Afonso and Tiago, terrified, discover that they are monsters in this new reality ... And that their women are afraid of them. Even so, Afonso will be a father. And Tiago has to help Mariana. So it is with sorrow but no surprise that Amélia realizes that none of her friends wants to correct the History again. Therefore, Amélia decides to act alone. She's going to meet with Filipe I. She says she knows what the king done to change History. Filipe I, demanding to know who her accomplices are, sends her to torture. Afonso and Tiago are informed of the horrible destiny of Amélia and resolve, finally, to intervene. But when they arrive at the Ministry, they will face a terrible confusion with devastating consequences to all of the Ministry's employees but Tiago. He, alone, will have to figure out a way to correct the History and, he hopes, save his friends.
