Two married couples are among the truckers crossing Australia's desert, where exhaustion, rain and breakdowns haunt them on trips that last for days.

While Steve risks everything to keep his rig going on an epic trek, ex-model Deb and driving partner Damo must deal with a mid-trip change of plans.

Mark stretches his heavy hauler to the limit driving over a mountain range. Weather threatens Steve as he hauls supplies to a remote area.

Trucker and rancher Dougal must haul cattle to a faraway market to avoid ruin. Meanwhile Steve's rig is stuck a short distance from his destination.
