Strike at Heart

CHU KOT does not want to compete with him and YUEN leaves in anger. CHOI knows the grudges between them, so he instigates them to compete in the martial art world. TSIK looks for TIN YEE, and she stabs CHU KOT mistakenly with her needle. In the Pacification Convention, YUEN challenges CHU KOT. The king orders CHU KOT to fight and announces that whoever wins will be the Minister of SUN HAU Palace to be in charge of martial art people. CHU KOT loses the first round because of his injuries. TIN YEE arrives hurriedly and tells YUEN that CHU KOT is injured. YUEN holds back in the second round, but CHU KOT, unaware of the truth that YUEN is making concessions, uses all his might and injures YUEN eventually. YUEN mistakes that CHU KOT and TIN YEE are ignoble persons and he leaves with injures. When KING escapes from home to look for CHU KOT, she meets the injured YUEN. She settles him in a shabby temple.… ...

KING leaves home after being slapped by CHI KO. TIN YEE and CHU KOT feel upset at not finding the orphan of TSAN. But they eventually realize that if they can reverse the injustice of TSAN by arresting CHI KO, then the orphan will be fine. To heal YUEN, CHU KOT has lent the divine needle to YUEN. TIN YEE therefore lies to TSIK that his blindness is not yet recovered so as to borrow another one for CHU KOT. KING worries that she cannot be together with CHU KOT. KING takes good care of YUEN to return the favor for CHU KOT, during which she learns why YUEN wants to win. YUEN feels that he now has a close friend. CHU KOT discusses with people of the martial art circle on how to catch CHI KO. CHOI tips out the information. In fact, he enjoys the advantage at the expense of others. YUEN is recovered. His unique skill, the Heartbreak Arrow, is now even more powerful. KING forces him to apologize to CHU KOT and TIN YEE.… ...

YUEN invites KING to hunting. KING asks CHU KOT to join them and he is grateful for the chance. After learning from TSIK that KING loves CHU KOT, TIN YEE feels relieved. TSIK boasts that a swordsman has proposed to her with a glowing pearl. KING wants to see the pearl but TSIK cannot find it. At the last moment, TIN YEE takes out a glowing pearl for patching up the lie told. On one hand, TSIK is angry that he is being nosy. On the other hand, she is grateful that he comforts her with the pearl. CHU KOT makes a pledge of love with KING before he goes fighting against the rebel of CHI KO. Incited by KING, YUEN decides to work for the imperial court with CHU KOT. CHU KOT brings YUEN to widen his knowledge in a brothel where the famous prostitute MUNG DIP drinks a toast to CHU KOT. YUEN confesses his love to KING, who is shocked, denotes that she does want to see him. YUEN drinks his sorrow away with alcohol.… ...

Sensing that he cannot give KING a happy future, CHU KOT avoids KING. TIN YEE tries but fails to persuade CHU KOT. On behalf of CHU KOT, TIN YEE speaks bad thing about CHU KOT in front of KING, yet her love for him remains unchanged. CHU KOT decides to concede his love, though with an aching heart. TSIK misses TIN YEE, MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE tells her to take the initiative for her own happiness. TSIK announces to the whole town her marriage with TIN YEE in order to force him into getting marriage. TIN YEE turns her down when MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE suddenly knees down to pledge him. Although TIN YEE calculates an ill omen in his fortune telling, he goes ahead with the marriage. On the wedding day of TIN YEE, CHOI invites CHU KOT to a brothel. CHU KOT wins the affection of DIP by a famous poet paper fan. Feeling rebuffed, CHOI leaves. That evening, CHU KOT invites DIP to attend the wedding and purposely get close to her.… ...

The troupe suffers a big blow and huge casualties. CHU KOT’s most favored two officers are killed in the battle formation of Incomplete Heaven and Earth set by TSAN FAI and his two apprentices. YUEN is suspected to be the hidden traitor but CHU KOT strongly protects him. KING worries as YUEN vows to kill CHI KO to comfort the dead souls. On receiving the reply letter from CHU KOT, TIN YEE is anxious and refuses to go to bed with TSIK. YUEN looks for CHI KO alone while KING follows. TSAN FAI and his men appear and YUEN is trapped in the battle formation. Luckily, CHU KOT joins in the confrontation in time, but KING is caught by. TSIK, with great effort, pretends to be happy in front of MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE and her younger apprentices. Nevertheless, the fact that she is sleeping separately with TIN YEE has been found out. When TIN YEE returns, he is slapped by both MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE and TSIK.… ...

TIN YEE and TSIK go and find proof from MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE. After that, they also go to the village where MADAM DIVINE NEEDLE picked up TSIK to investigate further. TIN YEE readily cares and protects TSIK, to which TSIK feels happy, though she knows very well that his cares is just a respect to TSAN. CHU KOT returns to the capital, and lets YUEN and the others look for KING. Incited by CHOI, the king orders CHU KOT to produce evidence in three days. CHU KOT, TIN YEE and TSIK find everywhere to search for the secret letter. CHU KOT prays for good fortune for KING in front of the Lovers’ Stone. KING shows up; the two cannot help but to hug each other tight. CHU KOT avoids KING, who is heartbroken. CHI KO promises KING that he will stand as witness with CHU KOT against CHOI when she has stolen the secret letter. He further states that the letter may be hidden in a sheepskin bag. For TIN YEE, TSIK thinks hard as so where the bag could be.… ...

KING is revealing her relationship with CHI KO when a person in black takes away the secret letter. KING takes CHU KOT to look for CHI KO and advises him to hand the letter out. KING is hit by CHI KO to unconsciousness; CHU KOT gives chase. YUEN appears and tries to shoot CHI KO with an arrow. CHU KOT stops him but YUEN does not listen. CHI KO dies and the letter is nowhere to be found. The king praise CHU KOT and the others, while YUEN is conferred the Master of YUEN SUN Palace, the same rank with CHU KOT. YUEN promises KING, who is still in a coma, that he will bring her happiness. Unable to stand the fact, CHU KOT tells YUEN that CHI KO is the father of KING. YUEN reproaches him for hiding the truth. CHU KOT drinks together with DIP and tells her his entanglement with YUEN. In fact, DIP is the subordinate of CHOI and she is the person who discovers and hands over the letter to CHOI for disposal.… ...

Huizong redecorates the grave of TSAN, dubs him back the former title and returns the confiscated property to TSIK, but he retains the vacant post of Field Marshall pending for the able person to fill it. All the people in the SUN HAU Palace think that CHU KOT is the capable person for the post. CHOI comes and instigates while CHU KOT and others swear not to exist together with him. KING reveals her identity in front of all and luckily she is forgiven and accepted. CHU KOT blames her for being foolish, but KING does not want to get him involved in the trouble and affects their relationship. CHU KOT makes up his mind secretly. KING’s heart is broken when CHU KOT gives a necklace to DIP in front of all. She comes forward and asks why he hurts her again. CHU KOT frankly admits that he has shifted his love to another; the heart broken KING leaves the SUN HAU Palace. CHU KOT lets YUEN know that KING has gone missing.… ...

On YUEN’s wedding day, he and his two fellow apprentices, CHU KOT and TIN YEE, drink joyfully; CHU KOT feels no regret. DIP enters the room of the newly wedded bride and tells KING that it is KING whom CHU KOT loves. Yet he has to give her up because of the brotherhood between him and YUEN. KING hates CHU KOT more. DIP tells CHOI that KING will take revenge on CHU KOT, as women hate it most when their men push them to another in the name of humanity. DIP makes CHU KOT misunderstand that CHU, leader of a sect, has philandered her, causing trouble among CHU KOT and others. KING forces YUEN to make progress and recommend himself to the king to be the senior general in the fight against Jin. CHU KOT talks to KING privately, hoping that she will not use YUEN to act against him. However, KING lies to YUEN that CHU KOT has come and asked her to continue their love affair; YUEN vows that he must excel CHU KOT.… ...

CHU KOT denies that he has killed CHU for DIP. He also vows to investigate deeply. Nevertheless, nobody believes him. Huizong advises CHU KOT not to spoil the business for a prostitute. CHU KOT talks back for DIP. Huizong then orders the descendent of WU YIN (i.e. TSIK) to decide who to fill the vacant post of Field Marshall. TIN YEE wants TSIK to support CHU KOT, but TSIK is dissatisfied with his ungratefulness to KING. DIP hopes to conceive a baby for CHOI, who points out that she is unfit to do so because of miasmatic poison in her body. He further points out that the most important thing is to deal with CHU KOT. DIP is proven pregnant after she collapses. TIN YEE advises her to abort the child. However, she wants to keep the flesh and blood of his lover. TIN YEE and CHU KOT have no choice but promise to help.… ...

TIN YEE defeats SAM BIN and TSIK keeps her reputation. TSIK hallucinates while TIN YEE accompanies her the whole night through. TSIK, who is asleep, recites the Shan Chi Mantra. As she goes, TIN YEE copies it down. TSIK discovers the copy and mistakes that TIN YEE does not treat her with real heart. The angry TSIK gives the Shan Chi Mantra to KING. YUEN makes a great progress in martial art but the condition of his artery and vein pulses appear to be abnormal. However, the winning-minded him continues his training. The same situation happens to CHU KOT, who practices himself to the point of dying. When KING comes to obtain information, she cannot bear not saving him. KING smiles bitterly that she still cannot get over CHU KOT; TSIK feels sorry for her. CHU KOT gives up his practicing and asks KING to persuade YUEN. Nevertheless, she replies that she will do what she can to make CHU KOT feels painful.… ...

CHU KOT comes and denotes that he will give up, but YUEN still wants to compete with him. CHU KOT decides not to fight back. As a result, he is wounded by YUEN. When Huizong comes to mediate, YUEN becomes mad and injures PO LONG and KING WAN, CHU KOT’s subordinates. CHU KOT fights back but is defeated by YUEN. Huizong misjudges that CHU KOT is so indulged in feminine attraction that he has abandoned his martial art practice and official administration. Therefore, he confers YUEN the Field Marshall post to fight against Jin. YUEN knows little about military. CHOI tells him not to tell KING so as not to let her know his disability. YUEN goes to war. KING worries he may be exploited by CHOI, but there is nothing she can do either. After listening to the words of FU CHUNG SHU, a trusted subordinate, CHOI suspects that the unborn child actually belongs to CHU KOT.… ...

The memorial service of CHU KOT is held in the SUN HAU Palace; very few people attend the service. When the mournful KING is just about to touch the face of CHU KOT, DIP appears suddenly. KING leaves unhappily. The Jin people retreats 100 miles back; Huizong is overjoyed. CHOI praises YUEN’s performance, while at the same time frames up that CHU KOT and the Jin people were killing one another after their negotiation had failed. KING secretly goes to CHU KOT’s grave. DIP discloses to KING her true relationship with CHU KOT then leaves. KING regrets and blames herself for marrying YUEN for retaliation while in fact she deeply loves CHU KOT. YUEN goes to visit CHU KOT’s grave. There, he hears everything. He goes crazy in no time and leaves. DIP and CHOI go to the countryside, during which she forces him with poison to admit that her miscarriage was his plot to punish her for her betrayal. The poison begins to show its effect.… ...

CHOI tells Huizong that CHU KOT is just pretending to be dead, and that the intelligence of Song’s military movement has been disclosed. Therefore, he suggested a peaceful solution with the Jin people should be initiated. Huizong thinks over CHOI’s suggestion. YUEN makes KING a stranger. KING goes and looks for SAM BIN to borrow the remaining part of the Shan Chi Mantra as compensation. KING nearly gets raped by SAM BIN, who is subdued by CHU KOT luckily in time. CHU KOT also gets the true copy of the Mantra. When KING wakes up, she asks CHU KOT to fly far and high with her. To her disappointment, CHU KOT takes the priority of national affairs over her. KING returns home with a broken heart. YUEN becomes crazy again. KING sticks the Mantra on the wall when YUEN is sleeping. After waking up, YUEN follows the Mantra and practices kung fu. Nor soon after, he regains calmness; his relationship with KING improves, too.… ...

Although Huizong does not blame TIN YEE for letting CHU KOT go, he puts TIN YEE in prison to induce CHU KOT to appear. TSIK is willing to be imprisoned together with TIN YEE. Touched, he has sex with her in prison. CHU KOT saves the wife of MAI KUNG KUNG and they seek the audience of the king and disclose the crime that CHOI has committed. Huizong is being doubtful when CHOI takes a group of soldiers to rescue MAI KUNG KUNG. CHOI, however, kills MAI KUNG KUNG in the chaos. CHU KOT loses his witness yet he makes his good escape. He goes to the prison to save TSIK and others. Huizong issues an arrest warrant on CHU KOT. CHOI points out that CHU KOT makes a great progress on the San Chi Mantra kung fu. YUEN, who is jealous, vows to exterminate CHU KOT. KING worries the safety of TSIK and others; YUEN ridicules that she only cares for CHU KOT.… ...

Unable to locate SAM BIN in an empty cave, YUEN reprimands KING for cheating him there for CHU KOT’s sake. KING cries in pain. She is enchanted and sexually assaulted by SAM BIN. KING hands over part of the Mantra YUEN, taking his martial art skills to an even higher level. KING is so painful that she keeps seeing hallucinatory image of SAM BIN. YUEN makes KING go and take the other parts of the Mantra. There, SAM BIN attacks KING again. Fortunately, CHU KOT comes to her rescue in time and kills him. Feeling shameful, KING runs away. CHU KOT chases after her to comfort her. King attempts to take her life. CHU KOT saves her again and settles her in a guesthouse. Suspecting that KING is seeing CHU KOT privately, YUEN goes to the cave to look for her. When there, he discovers that SAM BIN has died in the hands of CHU KOT. He takes all the Mantra and goes to look for KING. KING is in semi-unconsciousness.… ...

All people are dissatisfied with YUEN for promoting the peace deal. YUEN goes on a killing spree. TIN YEE recalls that his mentor has said that arrow is less lethal than spear. He then goes back to the WHITE BEARD GARDEN with CHU KOT and KING. The three have found the ancestress mentor who has created arrow Magic Arts, and the four pictures that are left behind by the ancestral mentor who had created the spear Magic Arts. The first three pictures depict daily life activity and combats, while the remaining one depicts some butterflies flying and dancing among flowers. KING and TIN YEE search for inspiration in mountains and brooks, even pray for the whole night. The next morning, they are thrilled to see butterflies flying around winter plum blossoms. CHU KOT feels touched. He promises KING that he will clear up matters with YUEN after the peace solution and live as recluse with her.… ...

TIN YEE detracts YUEN with his “Magic Door Escape”. Together with PO LONG and KING WAN, he goes snatching the Proclamation. YUEN injures the three and demands CHU KOT to wage a life-and-death battle on the peace deal day. On the eve of the fight, CHU KOT has yet to make a breakthrough in his spear magic arts, which worries KING. CHU KOT sneaks into the place where the peace deal is to be taken place. The peace deal fails; CHU KOT, PO LONG and others fight against CHOI to save the king. KING requests forgiveness from YUEN, who is guarding outside. Although he hates KING, he cannot bear to kill her. She tells him that she has been molested by SAM BIN when she was getting him the Mantra. YUEN’s heart aches terribly. When CHU KOT is fighting CHOI to the side of YUEN, KING takes her life to compensate for YUEN. YUEN suddenly comes to an understanding and he seriously wounds CHOI. KING dies in satisfaction in the arms of CHU KOT.… ...
