Under the Canopy of Love

SZE discovers that ALAN is SHUM LONG. She is very excited and happy but ALAN doesn't remember her at all. The predictions of the first two Tarot Cards have come true. SZE asks SUKI to help elaborate the meaning of the third Tarot Card. The third Tarot Card tells that ALAN will fall down from somewhere high. SZE is worried. ALAN comes to Rosa Ornament to collect the outstanding rental. SZE tries to hide away from him so as not to give him troubles. LIK arrives at the Flying Mall to work as a security trainee. His supervisor TAI YAT TO introduces all the job duties to him. SZE and NAM's father KO PAK FAI is an entertainment reporter. He discovers that NAM is dating with the rich guy Mr CHAN and blames NAM for deserting her boyfriend MARTIN for riches. NAM doesn't want to quarrel with him about this. ALAN realizes that SZE is hiding away from him because of the Tarot reading.… ...

NAM works in the Marketing Department of the Flying Mall. She reminds SZE not to fall in love with ALAN and she should find a rich husband instead. MARTIN proposes marriage to NAM and her colleague ADA overhears it. The news is spread around swiftly and incorrectly. Everybody believes that NAM is going to get married because she is pregnant. SZE doesn't shares the same viewpoint with NAM. She blames NAM for taking MARTIN as her backup husband and believes that love has nothing to do with money. She also appreciates FAI's devotion towards his deceased wife. NAM and SZE's younger sister, YAT CHING, reveals to them that FAI has got a new love and both NAM and SZE are shocked. KEI assigns an intimate RICKY to work in the Leasing Department and ALAN is speechless.… ...

SZE misconceives that ALAN reunites with his ex-girlfriend CHONG KIT YI and she is depressed. YI's boyfriend FRED is in great debt and he disappears. YI worries that the bank will force her to pay back the money. ALAN consoles her and promises to find a solution for her. ALAN recommends YI to work as a receptionist in the Flying Mall and SZE is unhappy. LIK and SANG find that NAM is pestering with a man called JASON on the street. LIK scares JASON away by kickboxing. In order to get rid of JASON, NAM asks LIK to pretend to be her boyfriend. NAM kisses LIK accidentally and LIK is infatuated. MARTIN suddenly appears and NAM deceives LIK that MARTIN is her brother. LIK really believes that MARTIN is NAM’s uterine brother and NAM feels awkward. SZE tries to indulge herself in work. She takes out all her saving to buy new products for her boss who is also her cousin.… ...

SZE leaves the Flying Mall and ALAN misses her a lot. LIK reveals that he is in love. ALAN misconceives that LIK is dating with his colleague LEON. SZE tries hard to look for a new job but she fails every time. SZE finds that LIK is waiting for NAM desperately outside the cinema. She returns home and blames NAM for playing games with LIK. ALAN recommends SZE to apply for a job in the hotel but SZE cannot perform well because of YI’s phone call. YI is harassed by her creditors and ALAN asks her to stay in his house temporarily. ALAN’s father SAU CHING and mother GEI misconceive that ALAN has reconciled with YI. ALAN tries to recommend SZE to work as a receptionist at the Flying Mall but he is late. On the next day, ALAN is surprised to find SZE dressing as a receptionist at the Flying Mall. NAM tries to keep LIK at a distance and LIK asks ALAN to give him some advice. ALAN finally realizes that LIK is not gay.… ...

ALAN learns that GEI has given 50 thousand dollars to NAM for trading real estate and he feels uneasy. On the next day, YI is seized by her creditors again. ALAN finally realizes that YI has been gambling all the time and he feels disappointed. ALAN asks YI to leave. YI tries to commit suicide at the rooftop. ALAN and SZE rush to the scene to stop her. YI wishes to reconcile with ALAN. She blames SZE for creating the eternal triangle. ALAN tries to hold YI and they fall down from the rooftop while pestering with each other. GEI and SAU CHING blame ALAN for creating the eternal triangle and ALAN is speechless. NAM is having a nightmare. In her dream, LIK beats her up for refusing to date with him. NAM wakes up with a start and decides to separate with LIK. With the help of her girl friends, NAM deceives LIK with Tarot Cards. The Tarot Reading shows that LIK will die if he continues to date with NAM. LIK is shocked to learn about it.… ...

ALAN brings YI to see the social worker Ms CHAN. YI realizes that ALAN believes that she is addicted to gambling and she leaves unhappily. GEI discovers that YI has cheated her and it was ALAN who paid back the 50 thousand dollars debt for YI. YI blames SZE for snatching away ALAN. GEI arrives to fight with YI regarding the debts. While they pestering with each other, SZE is hurt accidentally. KEI scolds ALAN for creating all the troubles. ALAN promises to take the responsibility. YI is absent at work for many days. Later, ALAN and SZE both receive a letter of apology from YI saying that she has met FRED again and they decide to reunite and work together for a better future. ALAN and SZE are relieved and they hug each other naturally. SAU CHING says that SZE is a good girl. He suggests ALAN to chase her and ALAN is moved. Everybody are discussing if KEI will take over STEVE’s position. BIU asks ALAN to take annual leaves.… ...

ALAN starts dating with SZE without informing others. People say that KEI will become the Managing Director and he will lay off many staffs including ALAN. ALAN takes it calmly. LIK asks all staffs to declare their supports towards ALAN but most staffs’ response are indifferent. SZE praises LIK for his bravery and signs her name to support ALAN. SANG appreciates SZE for having an independent mind and encourages LIK to chase her. AU YEUNG SUK JING is the Vice President of the Flying Group while her husband YIM TIN FAN is the President of the Group. JING announces that the daughter of a big shareholder, YIP KA WAN, will become the Managing Director of the Flying Mall and KEI is very disappointed about this. KEI suggested reducing the manpower but WAN refuses. ALAN, SZE and LIK go out to celebrate for the cancellation of KEI’s proposal. LIK is drunk and tells ALAN that he is in love with SZE. ALAN is shocked.… ...

NAM misconceives that LIK is chasing SZE. She decides to bring SZE and ALAN together. SZE and ALAN have no choice but to announce their relationship to everybody. CHING invites HONG to watch a performance at the TV station. HONG worries that CHING has fallen in love with him. HONG learns that there will be a job at night and he wants to cancel the date with CHING. FAI doesn’t want him to interfere with his job again so he persuades HONG to go for the date. ALAN brings SZE to the park. SZE finds that her family members are all waiting to listen to her violin performance. SZE knows that this park is the place where her parents met and she feels excited. LIK goes to greet her deceased mother CHAN SIU KUEN and foster mother at the abbey with YAU and SANG. YAU recalls the details of adopting LIK in the past. At the same time, FAN comes to the abbey to set up a shrine for his deceased wife.… ...

SZE tries to tell ALAN’s fortune by Tarot Cards. She gets a King, which means that ALAN will be very powerful soon. GEI hurts her waist and is sent to the hospital. She takes this chance to test if SZE is a good girl. LIK accidentally scratches some marks on FAN’s luxurious car. FAN asks him to compensate and LIK says that FAN is too mean. Later, LIK discovers that FAN is his big boss and he worries that he will be fired. FAN is overjoyed to learn that LIK might be his own son. YE reminds him to keep calm and observe the conduct of LIK and YAU before disclosing their relationship. FAN agrees. The model for taking sexy bikini photos is absent and FAI asks HONG to call his girlfriend for help. Later, FAI realizes that HONG’s girlfriend is CHING and he rushes to the photo studio. FAN employs YAU as his bodyguard and seizes the chance to find out more details about LIK’s history.… ...

Everyone try to please ALAN for they believe that he is the son of FAN. ALAN is speechless. FAN tries to chat with LIK. He asks YE to arrange new job for LIK but LIK is not interested at all. FAI wants to stop HONG from seeing CHING. HONG plays trick to escape from him and he goes to CHING’s home. FAI suddenly returns. HONG hides into FAI’s room and discovers many photos taken by FAI in the early days. FAI tells CHING that HONG doesn’t have any goals in life and he doesn’t know how to earn money. He is only the son of a rich man who knows nothing. HONG overhears it and he suddenly realizes his shortcomings. HONG asks FAI to teach him photography sincerely but FAI believes that this is only his strategy to win CHING. GEI knows that the rumor of ALAN is beneficial to his career development and she makes up a plan. ALAN returns to office to find that he is promoted to Leasing Manager and he is puzzled.… ...

SZE is unhappy. ALAN knows that she is jealous of WAN and he consoles her. GEI and KEI are trapped inside an elevator. GEI seizes the chance to ask for salary increment on behalf of ALAN. Staffs from the security department overhear it and believe that ALAN is the son of FAN. HONG tries hard to learn photography and wishes to become a professional photographer. CHING appreciates his determination. FAI finds that HONG and CHING are kissing each other. He is enraged and scolds HONG fiercely. CHING is angry with FAI and moves away to live with HONG. KEI knows that FAN is arranging a new position for LIK. He checks out the reason with YE and further believes that ALAN is the son of FAN. KEI brings GEI and SAU to check out their new house. ALAN is surprised to learn that he has got housing benefits as well. ALAN learns about GEI’s plan from SZE and he goes to question GEI. GEI reveals the truth and SAU blames her for making troubles.… ...

LIK is transferred to the Leasing department and all the girls try to please him. SZE discovers WAN’s earring at ALAN’s car. She believes that ALAN is hiding away something and asks NAM for help. SZE scolds ALAN angrily but ALAN turns away and leaves. ALAN returns to the office to work. He finds that WAN is still working and shares his pizza with her. He also teaches WAN to play video game and WAN develops feelings on him. ALAN apologizes to SZE and SZE is pleased. CHING invites HONG to watch movie with her. HONG is too tired and falls asleep in the middle of the movie. CHING leaves angrily. JING returns from business trip and asks KEI about the investigation on FAN’s secret son. KEI answers her perfunctorily by saying that he is still investigating. ALAN doesn’t stay on the same boat with KEI. KEI decides to go back to JING’s boat. LIK offends KEI for a new tenant and KEI fires him.… ...

ALAN is enraged to learn that JING has fired him. WAN blames JING for firing ALAN out of self-interests, which is not a proper action for a company leader. WAN persuades ALAN to stay and promises to help him achieving his career goals. SZE learns that WAN is protecting ALAN by all means and she feels uneasy. ALAN buys a new dress for SZE and asks her to attend WAN’s alumni gathering with him. SZE hesitates. During the gathering, WAN introduces many successful businessmen to ALAN and SZE finds herself incompatible with the crowd. SZE resorts to drink and makes a bad break at the gathering. SZE feels sorry for attending the gathering and believes that she is not compatible with ALAN. ALAN says that he only wants SZE to open herself to career advancement opportunities and blames her for being childish. NAM is pregnant and rushes to MARTIN’s home to report the news. MARTIN has disappeared and NAM doesn’t know what to do.… ...

SZE refuses to meet ALAN and ALAN feels helpless. JING wants to assign KEI to help WAN in Singapore but WAN insists to give ALAN the job. JING in dissatisfied with WAN and believes that WAN and ALAN are going to set up another company to compete with her. WAN assures ALAN that she will fight for him but ALAN is not attentive at all. He only wants SZE to forgive him. NAM prepares dinner for MARTIN. MARTIN returns and claims that he would like to teach the children at Tsing Hai for three years. NAM is shocked. SZE finds that ALAN and WAN are chatting happily and she cries silently. ALAN tries to date SZE but SZE keeps hiding away from him. JING questions FAN for the reason of allowing ALAN to work in Singapore. FAN says that ALAN is a talented enough for the post. Besides, FAN decides to start managing the Flying Group again. ALAN refuses to go to Singapore because of SZE. WAN scolds him for ruining his career path. SZE asks ALAN out.… ...

LIK takes initiative to arrange activities for SZE so as to make her happy. SZE is grateful about it. NAM discovers that she is not pregnant. She deceives MARTIN that she has got a miscarriage. She cries bitterly and claims that she is not going to get married before 30 years old. MARTIN feels helpless. NAM discovers a pregnancy tester and suspects that CHING is pregnant. NAM accompanies CHING to look for HONG. HONG is shocked to learn about the news and he doesn’t know what to do. FAI tries to climb over a wall in order to take pictures but he is hurt accidentally. CHING rushes to the hospital and discloses that she is pregnant carelessly. FAI is enraged to learn about the news and he hit HONG angrily. FAI and CHING return home and argue with each other again. CHING leaves home angrily. The magazine reports that ALAN and WAN will get married soon. LIK immediately calls ALAN to confirm if the report is true or not.… ...

In order to let go of ALAN, SZE decides that she is not going to play violin anymore. LIK takes leave and travel to Singapore. He wants to prove that ALAN is not an irresponsible person on love affairs. LIK finds WAN in ALAN’s room. WAN deliberately makes LIK believes that she is staying in the same room with ALAN. LIK leaves disappointedly. LIK tells SZE everything he found in Singapore and SZE is heart-broken. SANG encourages LIK to chase SZE and LIK is moved. LIK asks NAM to buy personal ornaments with him. NAM misconceives that LIK want to chase her again and she takes the initiative to kiss him. MARTIN passes by and oversees everything. FAN has got a heart attack. LIK is very worried and requests to accompany him to the hospital. JING and the others finally realize that LIK is the real son of FAN. FAN wakes up and declares that LIK will be his successor. JING is unhappy about it.… ...

LIK worries that SZE will not accept him. When he learns that SZE has hurt her ankle, he immediately put aside his job. He rushes to bring her to the hospital and brings her home afterwards. SZE finds that LIK always put her in the first place. She is touched and agrees to date with him. CHING suddenly has an abdominal pain and is sent to the hospital. HONG rushes to the hospital to see her. FAI and the others blame HONG for only concentrating on photography and ignoring his girlfriend. HONG gives up the chance for the Nepal trip and sends in his resignation to the boss. He then proposes marriage with CHING to FAI. SZE dates with LIK but she finds no special feelings with him. CHING reminds SZE that she doesn’t really love LIK and ALAN is still the only man in her mind. Four months later, ALAN plans to return to Hong Kong happily. LIK feels uneasy about his return but SZE reaffirms him that she has separated with ALAN long time ago.… ...

LIK proposes marriage to SZE. SZE takes the ring but she doesn’t feel anything. ALAN resigns from his job. WAN suggests him to work for her father in America but ALAN doesn’t want to have further relationship with her. SZE receives a videotape of ALAN’s interview at Singapore and realizes that she has misunderstood ALAN completely. She rushes to Lamma Island to look for him. SZE apologizes to ALAN and blames herself for not trusting him at all. They hug each other happily. LIK finds that SZE and ALAN are holding hands at the ferry pier and he scolds ALAN madly. LIK resorts to drink at a pub. He comes into conflict with some strangers and is attacked by them violently. LIK is seriously hurt and is sent to the hospital. SZE and ALAN rush to the hospital. LIK turns mad when seeing them. In order to calm him down, SZE and ALAN pretend that they have not reconciled with each other and SZE is still his future wife.… ...
