Ewilan's Quest

Camille’s true identity is revealed. Her name is Ewilan, lost daughter of great Designer of the Empire. Her power is absolute therefore she is the last hope of winning the war against Tsleech’es. Edwin gathers a harmed guard to escort the young girl to the capital city. But during a battle Ewilan loses control of her magic, endangering her new friends.

After taking some rest, Ewilan and her friends resume their journey. At twilight they share their campsite with the mysterious Ellana. In the middle of the night, Ewilan is almost killed by a Mercenary but Ellana saves her just in time, taking serious blows. One of the members of their group does not survive the fight.

The group of friends arrives at a Healer community. While mourning Hans they worry about Ellana’s recovery. Caught in a desperate situation, Master Duom and Edwin share their doubts about Ewilan’s power. Ewilan eavesdrops and hear them talk about a brother of hers still on Earth who could take her place. Deeply hurt, she leaves Gwendalavir to find the only family she has left.

Back on Earth, Ewilan and Salim’s disappearance, while noticed by the police, does not seem to have worried their parents. Ewilan faces her foster parents about her brother, but they stubbornly keep quiet. Then a Mentai, mercenary at the Tsleech’es service, attacks Ewilan with Design. She escapes and meets with Salim. Together they leave for Paris where Matthieu lives.

In Paris Ewilan and Salim meet with Matthieu’s mother who let them know he is at the Beaux-Arts. On their way to see him, the Mentai ambushes them. They lose him by making a run through Paris’ catacombs. They find Matthieu who greets them with a cold conversation. While demonstrating the narrow limits of his power, the Mentai attacks with new vigour.

Ewilan defeats the Mentai and save Salim. She is more and more in control of her power. A heart-to-heart talk with Matthieu helps her realize that while her brother fits well on Earth, her place is in Gwendalavir. Ewilan and Salim reunite with their friends in joy at Ondiane and prepare for the next chapter of their journey.
