Siaja’s first day of work goes awry when she accidentally starts a fire at the dump and Alistair and Kuuk visit the community center to discuss Ice Cove's candidacy to host a polar research station.

With Kuuk’s help, Siaja forms a plan to shake up Elder’s night by coaxing children to attend, hoping to raise the Elders’ spirits. Meanwhile, Neevee seems to run into Alistair everywhere she goes.

Ice Cove is shortlisted for the polar research station, so Siaja proposes they host a baseball fundraiser to afford upgrades to the community centre to better their chances. Helen is coerced into a winner-takes-all bet by the rival town’s leader.

Love is not in the air in Ice Cove as Siaja re-enters the dating world in epic style, Neevee and Alistair reach a turning point, and Kuuk has a surprise visitor.

The community comes together for an exhausting multi-day search for Ting. Siaja entrusts Alistair to babysit Bun during the search.

Siaja and Helen put the final touches on their pitch for the polar research station, when Helen is pulled away. Siaja uses this opportunity to view the only available apartment in town with Kuuk’s help.
